This service is a residential home for children and young people (CYP) with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) aged 8-16. Dodhy’s Children`s Residential Home Ltd is a 4 bedded mixed gender provision for children and young people aged between 8-16 years on admission who have difficulty living within a family environment. Children and young people will be able to remain at Dodhy’s Children`s Residential Home Ltd until the age of 16 years.
Dodhy’s Children`s Residential Home Ltd allows children and young people to access all areas of the house, except the office where documents, information and medication may be kept and a room that will be used by staff. Day to day life is about living and working together in a positive and calm atmosphere.
Young people placed with us will be able to continue to develop into adult life and progress through our Step-Down Plan to either semi-independence, independence or return to family. Our aim is to help children to achieve outcomes equivalent to their peers who are not looked after children. We are committed to creating environments where children and young people can have their care, emotional, educational and health needs met by experienced and informed staff.
Hobbies and attendance of clubs and any activity which the Children and young people is interested in are encouraged.
Sensory Room/Activity Room, Access to a PC, Fully furnished individual bedrooms, Laundry facilities, Communal lounge & Separate communal Dining Room, Communal Kitchen, Books / Games / Toys, Individual activity plans including a wide range of activities & Community interaction, Play area a secure garden.
Children and young people have four bedrooms with shared bathroom and toilet. The children and young people are given choice to decorate their bedrooms to their taste and preference.
The home has comfortably furnished large living room and dining room with TV, Games console, and Computer for children and young people. There is a kitchen and dining room.
We have a secure garden which can be used for children and young people to hold meetings with other professionals in a private space when required.
